Anticipation had built for weeks as we tried to be patient and wait for the arrival of our first batch of Southdown babies. "Mabel" a bred ewe we purchased from Bowers Southdowns was one of the first to have babies in the barn at Shafer Show Stock.

"Mabel" 1613 had an intriguing story and genetic line that made Allie and I interested in purchasing her. 1613 is out of 1316 which Burns Stock Farm owns now. 1316 had raised the Burns family's Religious Reasons and a keeper ewe. Her daughter is the dam of both War Saint and 7 & 7 that Burns Stock Farm is using for breeding in Indiana. "Mabel" was bred to "Wreck It Ralph" a proven buck and we were excited to welcome twin sisters in a very easy birth for all involved.
"Okie" our first Oldenburg ewe lamb from 2019 was bred as well and had a ewe and a buck lamb right at the first of the year. We have been so excited to have our first official Triple L babies in the Shafer Show Stock barn.
