Sedalia, Missouri

ree

2021 was our first trip out to Sedalia for the Freedom Fest. The show is held at the Missouri State Fairgrounds, and is put on by a few breeders who work tirelessly to ensure that the showman and their families have a first class experience. After going in 2021, we were hooked and their truly has been no doubt in our minds that each year we will spend our Memorial Day weekend in the Show Me State with our friends showing sheep.

Dad didn't get to make the trip this year, as he was in a wedding party and thus pictures for the weekend in Sedalia are limited.

The weekend includes a Corn Hole Tourney, and several fun activities for the showman and their families. Additionally, the competition in the show ring is very deep with Belt Buckles up for grabs in Showmanship.

Landrey worked very hard with "Goldie" her KDK Southdowns Fall Ewe, and captured the Junior Champion Showman for the weekend. Lynnly did a phenomenal job in her age division making the first sift and ultimately presenting "Cleo" better than we expected for such a young duo.

We can't thank the Spoonster and Lassiter family's enough for all of their hard work and thanks to the volunteers who make this a tremendous show!
