Our schedule called for us to head to Ohio for the Southdown Association's Kickoff show, and just as luck might have it, we had heard of another incredible show in near proximity to where we were heading in Ohio, so we hit it up.
We were truly sad we couldn't stay for the actual show, as the hospitality and attention to detail were unbelievable. They had belt buckles for each division winner of their age group, and refridgerators for the Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Champions. The ring was in fantastic shape, the grounds and barns were awesome, so kudos to the planning committee for their efforts.

Landrey was the ten year old age group winner, and kicked the season off with a Belt Buckle which is truly one of the coolest ones we have seen. Lynnly made it down to four in her division and unfortunately did get to the buckle but it was the first time out for her with a lamb that just wasn't completely broke yet. We believe she can really find her stride later this summer with "Cleo" her partner.
While the rains made us damp while loading up the trailer, we honestly wouldn't have changed much about this evening. The folks putting on the show had an amazing taco bar for everyone, and our L's loved all of the drinks/snacks they had in addition. We are talking little swimming pools filled with juice boxes. If you are looking for a good one to add to your list, plan for Ohio in May.
