We stayed in Ohio, and made our way from the Mark Banbury Memorial Show, to Greenville where the Southdown Associations National Sale, and Spring Kickoff were held. At the conclusion of the sale, the Kickoff took place, with several consignors running straight from one to the other. We only had one ewe to sell this year, so we did not consign in the national sale. It is our hope to have a deeper group next year that will allow us to have multiple animals to sell.
The Kickoff is exactly that, the beginning of the Southdown Associations season. The Board and Junior Board put alot of thought and effort in to making these events neat for the showman with awesome awards and attention to detail.

We were thrilled with our results for the first show of the season. "Goldie" our KDK Fall ewe won her class, our Yearlings stood in the upper half of the deep group of ewes, "Boots" was Reserve Market Wether and Landrey won the Junior Showmanship.
Next year the show is scheduled to be right back at the Darke County Fairground again, so if the stars align we will likely shoot to do the double again and consign a sheep if possible.
